A song of Ice and Fire should come with a giant warning that, once you start the first book, you will not be able to exist in your life in any capacity until you have consumed all of the books. This is the series that made me get a kindle, so I didn’t have to lug those tomes around with me. I read everywhere. Kids’ birthday parties, oil changes, I even had it propped up in the kitchen while making dinner. So it is not shocking that I was at a doctor appointment, waiting in an exam room, when the Starks showed up at the Twins for a wedding, When the doc knocked on the door to come in I said “go away!” Alas, the hound was not there to tell me not to look.
