Maude Avery

Meet Maude Avery (not a real McGill) our (adopted) calathea. After toiling away in the anonymity of my home office for years, she was moved to my studio where she earned some notoriety, causing her to fall into a years’ long depression. Maude is a glorious plant, but prone to ennui and brooding as she wiles away the hours, pining for obscurity and her beloved Dartmouth Square. Despite smoking three packs of Dunhills a day, Maude will wilt if watered with tap water.

If you would like to bring Maude’s depressed brilliance into your home, please contact Rooted in Fiction For local Austin pick up only, Maude will not deign to travel.
